Hello Doctor!!!

So, our lady Mrs. Sharadha - a housewife is a multi talented personality. She is not just an ordinary home maker - but extremely interested in multiple activities - be it art work, stitching, helping out neighbors etc. During her free time, as any home maker, she watches T.V. But she just goes a step ahead and watches no serials, but all informative things. And one of her favorite program is doctors talking in the T.V. answering questions without any diagnosis. (Here is the problem :)). So this lady assumes she is half doctor (:-p) because she can predict what answer each doctor would give in any T.V. show. Not only she is confident about her medical skills, but she believes in every doctor - of course every doctor did complete a degree. And she is such a nice person - she has no bias. She believes in allopathy, homeopathy, or whatever "pathy" available in this world... :)

So, did this medical knowledge help her? It did - when she made some kashaayam (syrup with herbs) for cold, cough or some other ayurvedic remedies for body pain. She is a very famous local doctor in the neighborhood - the one who could suggest all these remedies.

Once she had leg pain. So she decided to have a medicine that her brother used to have. She took the medicine for 3 days - and yes, the leg pain had gone completely. Not only the leg pain, but also her nature calls had stopped. Now tensed, she ran to the doctor and had to do some test for Rs. 2000. Finally the doctor said there is no problem and it is just the side effect of that medicine.

Whenever she goes to hospital accompanying some other person, she would talk with the doctor about the disease and its complications. It actually doesn't stop there. Apart from the patient's disease, she would also discuss her problem. She has only 2 problems - one is her weight and other is her dry sneezing problem. If she gets the sneezing she would have some 10 continuous haachooo's and then she will be fine. She has been discussing with doctors for more than 15 years and all doctors would say "Your weight is not a problem at all. All tests show you have no problem. Till you are active there is no problem. And dry sneezing is again not a problem at all. It shows you have good immunity". But she is never satisfied. So puts the same question to every doctor - and waits for someone to give the answer she expects - MEDICINES.

And finally she found one guy who said, "Yes madam. You have problem. Your weight is really dangerous and I will give you medicines". That guy was an attendant for an ayurvedic doctor, and once he had learnt the skill of being an ayurvedic doctor, he started the same. So this (so called) doctor!!! gave her some medicines (for Rs. 2500/-)... colorful tablets and she happily brought them home.

Now, to start with - she had to select an auspicious day and start the medicines. It would have been just a week - she started realizing the change. Yes, there was change. The change was not that she was becoming thin - it was that she was becoming more fat and dark. She still had the medicines for a week more. And now it's high time she realize the effect. She understood the medicines are causing the problem, stopped them immediately, complained about the doctor for some time and gave the medicines for return.

Now she made a declaration she will not take tablets for weight.But her other problem is still left with no doctor addressing it.

And yes, there came the doctor to save her from this problem. This doctor practices both allopathy and ayurvedic (strange right??). The doctor understood our lady's problem and was ready to help her with a solution. The doctor did not do any blood test, did not consider her age - she wanted to experiment. And yes, there was this tablet - which Mrs. Saradha had to eat for 21 days - 3 times a day. Mrs. Sharadha did that with so much of dedication. And to her surprise, the sneezing really did stop. She was so excited with that - she could not stop telling this to people. So happy Mrs. Sharadha was enjoying the no-sneeze days. It was there for a week - and suddenly she noticed patches on her skin. Patches, Patches - everywhere on her body. Oh! and now she had to run to the regular doctor - who asked her all sort of possible questions - the doctor had no questions about the history of patches. All he wanted to know was how she could have those medicines without blood test.

So, now Mrs. Sharadha knows 2 doctors who could help her with her problems and also knows the problem in taking their suggestions. :)

I believe there are so much of Mrs. Sharadha-s here; following their mind to treat themselves.

May be all Sharadha's need such doctors to teach them... :)
